Well…. I didn’t make the beer part, but I did make the mango part!
I’ve been thinking of making this for ages in the lead up to Oktoberfest!!! I’m not a beer drinker, but I am known to smash down a mango beer …or 2 …or 3 from the Bavarian Bier Cafe!!! But those type of nights are over now with 2 little boys!!
I topped the syrup with Corona Beer (the only beer I had in the house) and the feedback I got from my husband and friend was that it tasted just like the one from the Bavarian Bier Cafe!
Add mango to bowl.
Blitz – 5 seconds/Speed 9. Scrape down.
Add sugar and water.
Cook 5 minutes/90 degrees/Speed 2.
Take of MC and cook a further 12 minutes/Varoma/Speed 2/MC off. (use your basket on top of the MC hole if you see the syrup spluttering out)
Strain, and keep chilled in the fridge ready for serving.
Add 2 to 3 tablespoons syrup for each bottle of beer and stir before drinking.
